What happens if the Navy sees I have bad credit when checking for my security clearance?

What happens if the Navy sees I have bad credit when checking for my security clearance? Do I have to choose from another job or just be placed into one that I have no choice over??? Somebody please let me know what to expect I have no criminal record but I know there is credit checks and I know my credit is not good at all.
Okay and if they sit me down and ask me to explain can I still get the job possibly or does that step already mean its not happening?
