Quest for Credit – Complete Version (HD) Mint.com
www.mint.com The importance of good credit in our society is unquestionable — as is the destructive power of its ugly cousin, bad credit. Yet, millions of consumers succumb to materialistic temptations or fall into the many traps laid forth by credit-card companies (ever tried making only the minimum payments on a large credit card balance?). And while wise credit management isn’t an easy skill to learn and maintain, battling your “bad credit demons” is even more difficult. To illustrate the importance of staying out of debt while building and maintaining a good credit history, we give you Mint.com’s short epic, The Quest for Credit. The presentation may be humorous, but don’t get us wrong bad credit is no laughing matter. If you need help with battling your debt demons, check out the budgeting tools at www.mint.com.

This reminded me of Dante’s Inferno a lot for some reason…but not in a bad way… In a good way! Maybe you could do another video with the plot of Dante’s Inferno but instead have the 9 circles representing the different ‘sins’ of the financial world. (paying min balance, investing on a margin, etc.)

“Kind of comes off as materialistic, too (you can’t get a wife/gf without money/credit?)”
That’s correct. Having the means to live is a pre-requisite for providing for a family.
everyone should know about mint
I love it! Too bad I’m watching this 25 years too late… Make your older kids watch this–it’s pretty funny as well as informative.
What an entertaining and educational video. I think I am going to show it to all of my clients. Of course many of them are so behind and weighed down by years of debt that they need my help because just budgetting will not get them where they want to be fast enough. WE get them qualified to buy houses, cars & get loans…even remove foreclosures. Good vid though–
Great video, but:
- Really should be redone to animate moving lips to match the speaking. It doesn’t match the rest of the high production values without this.
- Old guy turning in to the girl at the end was really creepy, especially with the kiss. Kind of comes off as materialistic, too (you can’t get a wife/gf without money/credit?)
The end girl freaks me out.
Old guy removes ‘his’ cloak and ‘he’ is actually a ‘she’
Classic… I like how he attacks the beast with The Budget!
I wish this video was available 10 years ago. Debt = Slavery. Avoid debt at all cost!!!
@nmlyons24 What is “He’s a Pirate?”
Great video! Last song seemed almost identical to He’s a Pirate in PotC
Amazing!
I raged. Hard.
Not bad!
If you want to see hotter gay action, then go to Camzhome for gay muscular guys on cam! All free!
I think this is great. Well done Mint.
I liked this. I’m going to suggest that my high school economics teacher play it class next year. I have to admit though, I liked the first half better than the second half. It feels a little rushed when he starts “training” budget skills and that feeling lasted until the end. I loved the symbolism of the purchased items weighing you down… probably the best image that would resemble being in debt, which I certainly plan to avoid.
I have a financial investment company and this video was fantastic. I wish there was a button “Loved It” so I could click that cuz Like just doesn’t do it justice. This is a great video to show young people how to stay on top of their budget but also very entertaining so people will keep watching. This would do great in high schools and colleges. Budgeting is sooo important and thanks for making it fun to learn a little about it.
At the end it’s kinda creepy with the old dude, but it is great that these guys put this together
This is great O.O
I already use mint and I’m not even in college
This is awesome
