( FT ) — An altercation with a cement-mixer was on the cards for Ireland’s bedraggled government last Wednesday, as finance minister Brian Lenihan was about to set out to the Dail what he hopes is the final cost of repairing the country’s banks, two of them bust, all of them battered.
